Vilka citat från DA:s böcker eller TP:s böcker tycker ni är roliga och varför tycker ni de är så roliga?
Vad har ni för favoritkaraktär i böckerna?
Min favoritkaraktär är Döden i skivvärlden och jag tror inte jag har någon favoritkaraktär i LGTG.
En rolig sak om döden är när trollkarlarna frammanar honom i Eric så står han bredvid pentagrammet han ska vara i och säger någonting i stil med:
-VEM VÄNTAR VI PÅ? när trollkarlarna väntar på att han ska dyka upp mitt i pentagrammet
Jag tänker också ha en omröstningsfråga vem är roligast TP eller DA?

Tror det är något sånt här: "Konsten att flyga handlar helt enkelt om att missa marken." Douglas Adams. Ett annat finns i min signatur, det är inget snack om saken. Adams är och förblir bäst!

Det citatet från LGTG har jag alltid gillat eftersom det är så ologiskt.
En annan sak som är rolig med DA:s LGTG är talet 42 eftersom de som inte läst boken aldrig fattar vad man menar när man säger att det är svaret på Livet, Universum och Allting.

Jag har inte läst Pratchett (än) men ett favoritcitat från Guiden är (fritt från minnet) "Jäsiken också, det tänkte jag inte på, sa Gud. Och han försvann i ett moln av logik." Och så Marwins "Vilken deprimerande dumhet."

I början av Liftarens guide till galaxen så står det att det den säljer mer än encyclopedia galactica vilket jag tror han har tagit ifrån Isaac Asimov:s Stiftelsetrilogin för att i Stiftelsetrilogin så samlar vetenskapsmän in all vetenskaplig fakta i ett stort uppslagsverk som heter encyclopedia galactica för att korta ner 30 000 år av barbari till tusen eftersom Hari Seldon har räknat ut framtiden och vet att Imperiet kommer gå under.

Ni behöver inte bara komma med citat säg också gärna vilka era favoritkaraktärer är, jag har ännu ingen favoritkaraktär LGTG trots att jag läst den tre gånger på svenska och ingen gång på engelska.

Ännu ett citat från LGTG:

Douglas Adams var rolig i de första böckerna, de sista två är rätt trötta och repetitiva, tycker jag. Terry Pratchett blir bara bättre och bättre för varje bok, med ännu skarpare och mer intellektuell satir.

Enligt min ringa åsikt, alltså.

Favoritkaraktärer är, utan inbördes ordning:

Mustrum Ridcully, för att han är så monumentalt säker på att han har rätt - och med sin tvärsäkerhet ser till att folk anpassar sig så att han får rätt. Funkar nästan jämt!
Sam Vimes, för att han är en utmärkt ledare, och en cynisk idealist. Om fler vore som han och Vetinari, skulle världen vara en lugnare plats.
Granny Weatherwax, för att hon ser saker som dom är och inte som dom borde vara. Om fler vore som hon, skulle världen antingen kollapsa.

Måste jag plocka en karaktär ur Liftarens..., så blir de Marvin - för enastående klarsynthet.

Folk som med ett allvetande smil lyser upp så fort siffran 42 kommer upp i något sammanhang och börjar bubbla osammanhängade om livets mening tröttnade jag på för tio år sedan eller så...

problemet med TGHTTG är att det är
svårt att hita oneliners i dem.
Men nog finns de där oki, det blir
en hel del då,

När det gäller TPerry så är det
bara att läsa "The Pratchet Quote
File" på lspace.org, de mesta i
böckerna är roligt. För att inte
glöma, "May you forever live in
intresting pants". Om man tar en

Pratchett file" att rekomendera.
Man hittar så mycket bakgrund där
så de gör allt mycket mer läsvärt.

Tycker båda. De har så olika humor men ingen klår den andra.

TP favvo är Döden och Gråbo.

DA favvo är ju Marvin och Ford.

Senaste boken jag läste av TP var "Going postal"
som handlar om en man som får välja mellan att dö eller bli brevbärare.
Jag tyckte boken var läsvärd är det någon annan som läst den?

Det citatet tycker jag stämmer för jag tycker att TP är lika rolig som DA.

Är det förresten någon som vet en bra sida med citat från LGTG(THGTTG)?

Rensvind (Rincewind) för att han använder sig av ordspråket: "hellre fly än illa fäkta"
Kapten Morot för att han alltid lyder och verkar känna alla han möter dessutom kan han få de värsta fiender att samsas med varandra.

Jag kan berätta en rolig sak om "Going postal" och det är att den är indelad i kapitel.

Ett av många favoritcitat från DA: "förordet" till Mostly Harmless, skrivet på fyra sidor...: "Anything that happens, happens.

Favoritkaraktär är för svårt, men jag har en liten crush på hissen i Guiden-byggnaden...("Down is nice..")

Pratchett har jag inte läst så mycket av, men tänker ständigt att jag borde det...

Det fick mig att tänka på dörren Zaphod säger åt att vara tyst och sedan när allt var avklarat så säger den någonting i stil med: var det bra så Zaphod med hög röst

Hos Pratchett's personligheter så gillar jag nog Twoflower mest. Kan inte föreställa mig någon som är mer naiv.
